On March 8, 2018, HUALU signed contract with China National Chemical Engineering No. 14 Construction Co., Ltd. (CNCEC-14), for whole system engineering design, procurement services, and site management on a tank farm project for Bashundhara Oil and Gas Company Ltd. (BOGCL, a concern of Bashundhara Group).
The tank farm, with a total designed nominal capacity of up to 1,242,000 m3 to be constructed for a 5 million t/a oil refinery owned by BOGC, is highlighted by 6 floating roof crude oil tanks, each with a nominal volume of 100,000 m3, and 10 spherical LPG tanks, each with a nominal volume of 6,000 m3, in particular.
Signing of the contract came as a follow-up event of the EPCC contract on the tank farm project by CNCEC-14 with BOGCL.
Bangladesh is one of HUALU’s key target markets in South Asia for investment, project financing, engineering, procurement, construction and project management operations. Since 2016 HUALU has been following up the fluid bed catalytic cracking (FCC) of naphtha for production of PE/PP, with associated sea water desalination and refinery tank farm projects of BOGCL.
In early 2017 HUALU held a meeting to release the Technology Study Report on BOGCL’s FCC-PE-PP Project comprising a 1.4 million t/a FCC plant, a 200 ktpa LLDPE plant, a 300 ktpa PP plant and a 200 ktpa HDPE plant, marking completion of the 4-months TS work as well as beginning of engineering and financing of the project.
